Friend's bunking up. (Kayla Briggs)

He cautiously glanced out the window as he slowly turned away from her to peer outside, it must have been around noon the way the sun was. He hadn't checked the time at all yet that day, except for when he first got up. Who knows, could have been later, he wasn't a big fan of watching the sun and being able to tell what time it was. He looked back to Kayla after he was done, he had a feeling that she knew more, but wasn't feeling up to asking her at that moment. "What is weird?"

"That we lived in the same town. The odds are slim to none. Then you, being one of the most careful people I know when it comes to magic just happened to not be the one day i am in the forest." she said thinking how it all was just too big of a coincidence.

Cody went and sat on the chair beside the bed that Kayla was currently sitting on, and listened to her reasoning. "I agree, the idea alone is just too big, let alone it actually happening. Just too big of a coincidence. I am just, well, a little freaked out about this whole thing."

"Yeah me too." she said and got back up and put her herd in her hands "There is so much that is unexplained here. But we can talk about that later why don't we go out and practice, since its getting later." she said sitting up more.

Kayla seemed paranoid as she stood up right after Cody had sat down beside him. Was this getting all to weird for her, with all the witch hunters and the multiple coincidences? Because it was for Cody. He seemed to in the same state that Kayla was in, just didn't really show it and tried to hide it below. "Yea, lets go and take our minds off of this whole thing, then we can atleast figure something out after" He told her as he walked toward the door, looking out the peephole.

Kayla smiled and grabbed her jacket. "I'm pretty sure with you looking out of the window good minuet ago, nothing has changed much." she said and reached for the doorknob to open the door.

He looked back to Kayla as she made her way for the doorknob, ignoring her other comment, but still replying to parts of it. "Yea, yea, let's get going alright?" He told her, kissing her on the cheek as she opened the door and made their way outside. "Where were you wanting to practice?"

Kayla thought about it and said "well there is this lake over near the woods. Can we go there?" she asked walking outside of the door and waiting for Cody to come along.

He looked in her direction as she stood there, wondering where they should go. "Yea, that sounds nice. Then maybe we won't get soaked from the water spell that I want to try again" He told her, smiling. The last time he had tried that spell in the room they both were poured on by water from the sink. He lost control mid-air and splashed over both of them, he found it rather amusing.

"Yeah" she said starting to walk to the forest and then turned back to him "Maybe I should bring an umbrella just in case." she gave him a wink and laughed. Then she continued on her way to the forest.

He chuckled at the joke made by Kayla about the umbrella. It was true, he seemed to have mishaps when it came to water spells, even though he had just tried the one. "Yea yea. Maybe I'll purposely splash you now" He told her, jokingly as he followed her over to the forest area.

Kayla looked at him and pretended to be hurt "Yeah and then I would kick your butt." she said then grabbed his hand as they walked in to the forest and made there way to the lake to practice.

Cody looked back down to Kayla as he exhaled. "Oh I'd quite enjoy seeing you try" He told her, teasingly as she grabbed his hand. Cody quite enjoyed the relationship that the two of them had. It was more of a playful-type relationship then serious, he was fine with that. As they made their way to toe lake, he could see it through the clearing of the forest, with a dock going out a little ways for people to jump off of if they saw fit.

When she saw saw the lake she took a look at him "Ready to train?" she asked then walked over to the lake and the dock. She steeped up to the edge and took off her shoes and rolled up her pant legs.

He stood there as Kayla walked to the dock and began getting ready to be soaked, again. He chuckled slightly as she waited there for him. Cody proceeded to walk beside her and didn't bother taking any of his clothes off or roll them up, if he was going to get soaked, there was no way to stay dry. "Yea, alright let's try this again..." He said, voice trailing off a little bit at the end as he tried remembering how the spell worked.

"Ok the best way to do this is concentrate on the flow of the water, then when you have that take a deep breathe bring your hand up as if it is moving with the water then clench it. That way you have more of a visual perspective." she told him sitting on the edge of the dock and putting her feet in.

"Alright, I'll give it a shot" He said, smiling, as he began focusing on the flow, and did what she said. Stuck his right hand up into the air and then began visualizing the whip that he had tried to produce earlier, although this time it worked. He had bent down and put his hand in the water, and pulled out a whip made of the water from the lake, shape and everything. He proceeded to snap it a few times, tried to snap it around Kayla as a sort of wet-towel moment.

Kayla smiled as he got it and when he snapped it some of the water splashed on her "Hey!" she exclaimed laughing a bit.

As he hit her with water that snapped off the whip, he let it then dissipate into the soil where she was standing. "You didn't say anything about not getting wet" He told her, smiling, as he ran at her and grabbed her, then proceeded to jump into the lake and smiled as he was in mid-jump.

Kayla was taken by surprise as he grabbed her and jumped in to the lake. She felt the cold rush of the water hitting her then when she surfs=aced she looked at Cody "Jerk!" she said laughing then wrapped her arms around his neck and dunked them down into the water again.

Cody laughed a bit, his dimples showing a little bit around his mouth as he did so, he kissed her on the cheek. "Hey now, don't be mean" He said, smiling, as she dunked both of them below into the deep blue lake. As they were down below, Cody gave Kayla a underwater kiss, trying not to waste oxygen before resurfacing.

When Cody kissed he underwater she smiled then they resurfaced. "See even when you do well, I get soaked" she said turning in the water and showing him that she was wet.

He looked to her as she spun around, showing off her sexy curves underneath her wet shirt. "Well maybe you were just meant to never be dry, did you think of that?" He asked, smiling a bit as he brought his hand above water and ran it threw his blonde hair.

Kayla laughed and wrapped her legs around his and then moved them up to his hips. "I don't even know if I want to practice. It would be nice to just relax." she said holding on to him.

Cody began smiling as Kayla wrapped her legs around his waist, in a sort of position that wouldn't be very comfortable in the water. He knew what she was talking about, but they did need to practice their magic. All they did the previous day was just fool around in their bed and talk. But Cody did enjoy the talking, and the fooling around, it was just if hunters had shown up, they wouldn't be able to defend themselves, unless they had practiced more. "Alright, but we should practice soon." He laughed back as he wrapped his arms around her back and held her as the water began to disappear from between them from the closeness.
