Friend's bunking up. (Kayla Briggs)

She smiled "Deal." then she she gave him a small innocent smile then put her hands on his head and dunked him into the water. As he went down she swam away so he couldn't retaliate.

He looked to her as she smiled, and then dunked his head under the water. Cody was a little surprised by that, wasn't much expecting it from her. Although he should have been, probably was for pushing her into the water earlier. he had soon concentrated on the water and formed a sort of prison which he enclosed around her not allowing movement. He swam over to the small water-jail and looked at her. *Laughs* "Now, see where that got you?"

Kayla glared then gave a little push with her powers and was able to get some of her mobility back. Then she raised her hand and made a small wave that crashed on the back of his head.

He smirked at her as she pushed a little bit. He found it quite fun, trapping Kayla with her own spell type. Of course, until a wave came and hit Cody in the back of the head, knocking him off balance, causing the water prison to liquify. He began chuckling a little at her reaction. "Now if you want to dunk my head again, we can go through this whole cycle for a second time"

Kayla smiled doing a flip in the water "You are just jealous of my profound magical ability" then she swam over to him and said "I guess we should practice now."

Cody took a glance over his wet shoulder as Kayla did her flip. He was curious to see if anyone were around them. He soon had looked back to her and put on a smile as she came over to him. "yeah, alright. That sounds good. But I already practiced, so your turn now" He said, bringing one of his hands below water and splashing Kayla with it.

Kayla smiled "Ok, what should I do?" she asked twirling around in the water.

He smiled slowly, back at her, then began thinking of a spell that would be fairly easy to do, but still be powerful. "Alright. Let's try one that I've read about, but haven't really mastered yet. It isn't like my other spells that I know, more of an elemental spell then anything." He told her, eying her up as she continued twirling, "It is a wind element spell, can be used to either just create a small gust, or if powerful enough, a small tornado." He glanced around as he began concentrating on the spell, and soon the wind had picked up, blowing the leaves around them in almost a perfect circle.

"Basically, you just picture a fan in your head, or that is what I do, and just concentrate on it flapping and making gusts of wind, the more you concentrate and the harder the wind becomes, the more damaging it will be"

Kayla looked at the trees and imagined the gust of wind that she wanted. She pictured the leaves billowing and swaying. She closed her eyes and sent her magic out hoping it worked. She opened her eyes and saw the stress swaying. "Like that?" she asked thinking that is wasn't as powerful as she wanted.

Cody stood there in the water as it began to wave, getting a little bigger with each one. His vision then moved to the tree that she had been concentrating on, and began smiling a tad. "Yes, just like that" He told her as he moved closer to her and took her hands, then closed his eyes as the wind picked up.

Kayla smiled and giggled a bit when he grabbed her hands and the wind piked up. she then thought of it stronger and wanted to see what would happen. She opened her eyes a bit when she felt the wind get even stronger and then saw that the trees were swaying violently and she quickly stooped it not wanting draw too much attention to the weird weather. "Wow" was all she could say as died down.

Cody rather enjoyed this sense of power he had gotten while practicing with Kayla, it was like the two of them were 'connected' like a circle, without being bound. He smiled at the wind picking up, causing the swaying of the greenery; the waves in the water; even the goosebumps that began popping up on both of their bodies from the wind chill.

"That is rather exhilarating" He told her, as he grabbed her and then kissed her in the lake, wind continued to blow around them.

Kayla smiled and kissed him back. It was amazing doing magic with him. She had missed being around someone who got it. "That was awesome." she said after pulling away and smiling at the sky.

He laughed a little at her response. She was right; it was awesome. Her words. As he pulled away from the kiss, he smiled. Then looked into her gorgeous light hazel eyes as she glanced to the sky. "yea. Well we should probably get going, it is getting a little late. I am also getting a little 'exhausted' from all this magic stuff"

"OK" she said with a smile and said "Yeah it is getting later." she said and started to swim back to the edge. So they could go back to the hotel.

Cody seemed to get a twitch on the back of his neck, had a feeling that somebody was watching them, although it wasn't sure. He had quickly pulled himself out of the lake and then allowed the warm breeze to dry him off before he glanced back to Kayla. "We should hurry."

Kayla looked at him and got out. Then she got a slight feeling that someone was watching her. "Yeah lets get back." she said and started walking at a brisk pace, back the way they had come.

Cody nodded to her as they made their way back to the hotel room, checking over his shoulder once every couple minutes to make sure they were not being followed. Spending time with Kayla was nice, but it made him forget all about the witch hunter(s) that could have been following.

As they reached the door, he stuck in his key and opened the door into the rather rugged looking room, allowing Kayla to enter first before closing the door. "We need to be more careful. It was fun, but we need to keep an eye out for hunters.."

Kayla just nodded her head and walked in to the bathroom to get a towel to dry her hair. Then as she was fluffing the towel thorough her hair she came back out and took a seat on the bed.

Cody walked to the window as Kayla went into the bathroom, slowly peeking outside into the courtyard area located in the middle of all of the rooms. He believed he had seen someone he recognized, but did not seem to think much of it as he turned back around to her sitting on the bedspread.

"What do you want to do?" He asked, walking back over to the door and locking it, as well as hinging the little lever thing.

She smiled "I don't know, sleep?" she said as slightly a question. It wasn't that she was tired but since they were hiding out it would be safer to stay in for the rest of the evening.

After making sure the door was locked and hinged, he took another quick peek outside through the window before turning around, looking at Kayla again, who was still sitting on the bed, and chuckled a little at her reply. It was true, they did not seem to get much 'sleep' lately, playing those games in the middle of the night could get a little exhausting. Plus, running into that witch hunter at the coffee shop did not appear to help matters any, at all.

He soon walked over to the bed and sat beside kayla, on the chair located at a desk just to the right. "okay, let's sleep then" Cody said, proceeding to take off his shirt before walking over to the bathroom to do all of the things he normally does before bed: teeth, floss, bathroom, before coming back out atleast a few minutes later.

Kayla smiled and as Cody went into the Bathroom she got up and went over to her stuff and took of her jeans and her shirt and changed in to something to sleep in. She had pulled on black shorts and was about to pull on her tank top as Cody came back out of the bathroom. She turned slightly to the door and tried to hide her blush. Sure it didn't make sense since he had seen her already but still.

Cody soon walked out of the bathroom, and to his surprise, and somewhat enjoyable view of Kayla changing with only a bra on. Although almost as soon as she noticed, she did a quick turn around so he would not be able to see any part of her. "C'mon Kayla, nothing I haven't seen before" He told her, chuckling, "Like that cute little birthmark" He said, laughing a little as he pointed to a rather embarrasing part of her body before walking over to the bed and setting the alarm clock for morning.

Kayla gave a small laugh and walked over to the bed after she got her tank top on. "Funny" she said in a monotone voice to mess with him. Then she slipped into the bed and rested her head on the pillow and looked at the ceiling. It must have been a longer day then she thought.
